It’s not work that tires us, but busyness.
It’s the multitude of tasks that compete for our attention, it’s the priorities we must balance, it’s the other people, colleagues and bosses, who need some of our time.
And on the day of rest, the priorities change, the objects of attention change, the people who need (and deserve) our time change. It’s our hobbies, our pleasures, our friends and family.
A day of work, a day of serious work, a day spent focusing on a single task – this is a restful day.
