I’m a Safari fan for its simplicity and OS integration, but Firefox is always on hand, and Momentum – Personal Dashboard is one of the extensions I like best (also available for Chrome and Chromium-based browsers).
It’s a “new tab” page that has several “nice” features, but the most important thing for me is that when I open it for the first time each day, it asks me what my most important task is for today. And that is a question we should all answer every day.
And then that’s what appears front and center, written in thick letters, every time I open a new tab. The rest of the page is uncluttered: a beautiful image, an inspirational quote, and a minimalist to-do list. But the daily priority, as defined by me – that’s what springs to mind with every new open tab.
This is the kind of software I like. Simple, but serving an important purpose.
